born and raised in chicago, kim graduated from northwestern university with a bs in radio, tv and film. she began her career as a tv commercial editor, working in chicago and in l.a.  having the privilege of working with world-renowned directors and visual artists, kim’s developed an eye for what makes a shot ‘exceptional’.   as she continues to pursue her editorial work, kim explores another passion: photography. she’s been published on the new york times and vogue italia web sites and ‘work no. 1357, mothers, 2012’ won

a mca chicago photography competition. currently, kim is represented by art +

commerce.

kim’s true love, life’s blood and reason for getting out of bed is travel, and that is apparent in virtually all her work. to her, the excitement exploring a place and getting to know its people is the single most amazing thing in the world.  airports (after getting through security) fill her with anticipation and joy...regardless of

where she’s headed.  and though kim’s been all over the world, berlin is the one

place that feels most like home.

other loves?  horses and equestrian riding, the internet (it's a hell of a drug); movies (she’s a devoted fan of hitchcock, fassbinder, kieslowski, pollack, scorsese & tarantino; fashion (a devoted follower of rick owens, junya watanabe, golden goose and great-fitting worn-in jeans).
